Mansfield, Mass. - For the second consecutive week, Ronnie Silva has been named the Northeast-10 Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. 

In a 1-1 week for Adelphi, Silva continued his scoring streak, averaging 38.0 points per game with 16 buckets from beyond the arc. This week notched his fourth and fifth consecutive games scoring 20 or more points. In a narrow victory against Stonehill, Silva set a new career-high with 42 points, with the help of eight three-pointers and a 12-for-13 performance from the free throw line. Against the Hawks, he put up a team-leading 34 points with the help of 13 made field goals while pouring in another eight threes.

The news comes ahead of a rescheduled contest with the University of New Haven, scheduled this afternoon for 3:00 p.m. The Panthers will return to the Center for Recreation and Sports on Saturday, Jan. 22 when they host Franklin Pierce. 

Adelphi posts a 5-3 conference record and sits at 10-5 overall after falling this weekend to Saint Anselm College.
