Rochester, N.Y. - After taking a week off, the Adelphi University cross country programs raced at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on the campus of Roberts Wesleyan following last year's absence.
A total of 33 complete teams entered the invitational between the men's and women's races. The Panther women 9th place out of 15 teams while the men placed 7nd out of 18 teams.
Leading the way for the women was
Isabel Marsh, who clocked the 5000 meter race in a time of 19:46.0 for 32nd overall. The next to finish for the Brown and Gold was
Grace Minikel in a time of 20:03.1.Â
On the men's side,
Thomas Roulette crossed the finish line first for Adelphi, as he completed the 8000 meter race in a time of 26:40.1. His time placed him 27th overall out of a field of nearly 200 competitors.
Diego Llanos was not far behind Roulette, as he crossed the tape in 26:58.1, good enough for 34th overall for his first collegiate 8k on record.Â
The teams return to action on Saturday, Oct. 9 for the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Invitational, hosted by Jefferson University.Â
