Philadelphia, Pa. - Wrapping up the 2019 cross country season, both the Adelphi University men's and women's harriers raced at the NCAA Division II East Regional on Saturday afternoon, at Belmoht Plateau hosted by Jefferson University. Posting their second-highest finish in Head Coach Katie Rees' tenure, the women placed fourth overall as the men came in 15th in their 10K event.

Nicole Julian, who was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Second Team prior to this weekend, was once again the top-finisher for the Panthers, clocking in at 23:18.5, to place 20th overall in the field. Next to break the tape was rookie Katherine Marsh, who crossed less than 20 seconds later than Julian to earn 25th in her first NCAA Regionals outing.

Rounding out the top three on the women's side was Grace Minikel, as she raced to a 32nd place finish in a time of 23:55.7.

On the men's side, first to cross was Ronan Smith in a time of 34:25.2 that saw him place 65th in the field of over 160 competitors. The next trio of finishers all completed the 10k race within 30 seconds of each other, as Gabriel Silva, Thomas Roulette and Matthew Gemma placed 86th, 91st, and 96th, respectively

The women's team, who was ranked in the top-five in the region for majority of the season, will have the chance to earn an at-large bid to NCAA Championships, held this year on Nov. 23 in Sacramento, California. The remaining 10 at-large teams and 24 individuals will be announced Monday, Nov. 11 at approximately 5 p.m. ET at NCAA.com.
