Lucy Stevens Claims Top Individual Honors at SUNY Delhi Spring Invitational

The freshman shot a 166 at the two-day event

Armonk, NY - Lucy Stevens of the Adelphi University women's golf team captured her second individual title of the season on Sunday in the SUNY Delhi Spring Invitational at the Brynwood Golf and Country Club in Armonk, NY.

Stevens, Adelphi's only competitor at the two-day event, jumped out to a six-stroke lead after play on Saturday with a score of 83 on the par-70, 6,356 yard course. Stevens shot two strokes off the leader in round two to again post a score of 83 for an overall score of 166 and a five-stroke victory.

The Zionsville, IN native most recently won the individual title at the Eastern Invitational at St. Davids Golf Course in St. Davids, PA on March 31.

Hamilton College claimed the overall team title, led by second and third place individuals Anne Govern (171) and Katie Veasey (176).

Stevens and the Panthers return to action on Saturday, April 18 when they participate in the two-day Le Moyne College Mike Bello Spring Invitational at Timber Banks Golf Course in Syracuse, NY.
