2013 Capital One Academic All-America Team Release

Andreas Hammar was named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America At-Large Third Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA), it was announced on Wednesday. The accolade complements Hammar's selection to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large First Team on May 17.
Hammar, the Panthers' mainstay at top flight singles and doubles, registered a 3.84 grade point average as a marketing major. This year, he earned Northeast-10 Conference All-Championship Team status after leading Adelphi to the NE-10 Semifinals and posting an 11-7 record at first singles.
The Capital One Division II Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2012-13 Division II Academic All-America teams program.
The Capital One Academic All-America Division II Men's At-Large program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, water polo and wrestling.
