#46 Men's Tennis Drops Non-Conference Tilt to #28 Queens

Flushing, N.Y. — The Adelphi men's tennis team was back in action on Tuesday afternoon for a nationally ranked contest with No. 28 Queens.

The Knights got the better of the Panthers in doubles play, taking two of the three matches and earning the first point of the day. Thomas Horsley and Viktor Hockl earned a 6-3 win for Adelphi as the No. 1 pairing.

Queens won the first two completed matches in singles play, but Spyridon Papageorgiou stopped the run with a tight 6-4, 7-5 win in the No. 3 flight. The home team clinched the victory with a win at No. 1 singles, but before the day was over, Leo Silverston earned a 6-4, 7-5, 10-3 win as Adelphi's No. 5.

The Panthers will return to the courts and to conference play when they host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday at 11 a.m.
