Crimi, Hammar Earn Capital One Academic All-District Honors

Pair of Panthers move on to Academic All-America ballot

Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University women's lacrosse junior Devan Crimi and men's tennis senior Andreas Hammar were named to CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District at-large teams, it was announced on Friday. The pair will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot, the winners of which will be revealed later this month.

Crimi, a business administration major with a 3.74 grade point average, led the women's lacrosse team to the NCAA Final Four after earning nods to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-American First Team, IWLCA North Region First Team and Northeast-10 All-Conference First Team. She led the league goals (69), assists (32) and points (101) while ranking fifth in the nation in goals and sixth in points.

Hammar, a marketing major with a 3.84 GPA, has been a mainstay at top flight singles and doubles for Adelphi men's tennis the past two season. This year, he earned NE-10 All-Championship Team status after leading the Panthers to the NE-10 Semifinals and posting an 11-7 record at first singles.
