The win marks the sixth time this season the Panthers have beat their opponent by at least 23 points.

Box Score Lakewood, NJ – The women's basketball team recorded their sixth straight victory earlier tonight over Georgian Court University in a non-conference contest. Behind a 24 point performance from Jessica Kitrys and three Panthers in double figures, the Panthers cruised past the Lions 86-63. With the win, the women's basketball team remains a perfect 7-0, 3-0 NE-10 while Georgian Court drops to 1-7.

Kitrys led the way for the Brown and Gold with a 24 point effort on 10-15 shooting from the field and 4-7 from the charity stripe to go along with her game high eight rebounds. Six of Kelly Mannix's 16 points came off of free throws while Tara Flynn and Sade Jackson each chipped in with 11 points apiece.

As a team, they shot 44 percent from the field and sunk nine from downtown. Additionally, they had an impressive 18 offensive rebounds in the win while their defense from beyond the arc was on point as the hosts did not hit a single triple.

Through the initial 6:20 of the game, there were six lead changes and three ties. Georgian Court got on the board first with two made free throws from Keosha Parks. At the 13:40 mark a triple from Flynn, which was set up by a Jackson assist, gave the Panthers a 15-13 advantage and the lead in which they would not relinquish the rest of the game.

The two point cushion ballooned to as much as 24 by the end of the half. In the closing 2:14, the Brown and Gold kept their foot on the gas and turned up the heat by forcing two turnovers and hitting four of their final five shots; two of which came from behind the arc thanks to Mannix and Calli Balfour.

The Panthers went cold in the opening plays of the second, shooting 2-5 and turning the ball over three times which gave way to a 15-6 Lion run sparked by Ashiri Broadwater's layup and capped with a Brittany Baker jumper to set the scoreboard at 54-39.

However, they quickly regained their composure and fired back with a 19-2 run of their own. A Jenna Halaby lay in followed by two good attempts from the charity stripe by Mannix unleashed the devastating stretch that lasted nearly five minutes and resulted in a 32 point buffer for Adelphi.

Over the final minutes, Georgian Court was unable to close the gap enough to make it close. With just under four minutes left to play, the hosts still found themselves down by 24 points. Back-to-back free throws from Grace Elliot and a jumper from Sierra Schrader capped the 86-63 route.
