Greenwood, Ind. — The College Sports Communicators revealed its 2024-25 Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-District teams on Tuesday afternoon and a trio of Panthers received the honor.

Lauren Beberman, Christina Sanchez, Me'Chelle Cancer and Patrick Burke represented their respective teams.

Beberman, who was named the Northeast 10 Defensive Player of the Year, earned a 3.932 grade-point average while pursuing a degree in nursing. The Mahopac, N.Y. native led the NE10 in blocks (45) and steals (72) and recorded a conference-high nine steals in the team's win over Franklin Pierce on Jan. 28.

Sanchez, named to the NE10 All-Defensive team, is a 3.569 GPA nursing student and was a key piece for the Adelphi women's basketball team, being second in the league in total steals and steals per game. The senior forced three or more turnovers seven times in her final season and put together a career-best seven steal game against Saint Michael's on Jan. 10.

Cancer, a 3.59 GPA health sciences student, had her best season so far in her sophomore year. Averaging 29.3 minutes per game on the floor, she was Adelphi's fourth-leading scorer (6.1 points per game) and second best rebounder (6.2 rebounds per game).

Burke, who obtained a 3.729 grade-point average in sport management, was a crucial part of the men's basketball team. Starting in all 30 games, the junior led the Panthers in rebounding with 7.1 boards per game and added an offensive boost, scoring 11.6 points per contest.
