Women's Hoops Adds Pair to 2026-27 Roster

Garden City, N.Y. – Head coach Sade Jackson announced a pair of signees for the 2026-27 class on Monday, welcoming Mya Lambert and Seanna Crooks to the Adelphi University women's basketball program.

Following a .500 2025-26 campaign, the Panthers look to return to the conference playoffs and beyond in the upcoming season. 

Mya Lambert FR 2026

     Name: Mya Lambert
     Hometown: Warwick, RI
     High School: Lawrence Academy
     Height: 5-9 
     Prominent accolades won in HS: 

  • Guard
  • Played for MCW Starz organization
  • Three-time ISL All-League selection
  • Named All-NEPSAC twice
Seanna Crooks FR 2026

     Name: Seanna Crooks
     Hometown: Boca Raton, FL
     High School: Grandview Preparatory School
     Height: 6-0
     Prominent accolades won in HS: 

  • Forward
  • Played for East Coast United (ECU)
  • Winner of back-to-back state championships 

Adelphi lost Christina Sanchez and Adout Ring to graduation, but returns leading scorer Victoria Morales and Northeast 10 Defensive Player of the Year in Lauren Beberman. 

Jackson and the squad are slated to begin the season on Saturday, October 17 when they host Mercy University in a closed scrimmage. Official games will start on Monday, November 9 at Chestnut Hill.
