Lyndhurst, N.J. -The Adelphi University baseball team pounded out 14 hits and assembled an eight-run fourth inning slug fest to snap a three game losing streak and beat Felician College 11-3 in non-conference action on Tuesday. The Panthers climb to 12-15 overall with the win, while the Golden Falcons move to 15-17.

Junior Anthony Zarrella clubbed a season-high four hits for the Panthers, smoking a double while scoring twice and driving in a pair. Senior Justin Farnum stayed hot with a 3-6 performance that included a triple and two runs scored, and freshman Donato Signore knocked a pair of base hits to round out the Adelphi batters with multiple hits.

On the mound, freshman Mike Cranston earned the win in his first collegiate start, tossing six innings and allowing one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts.

For Felician, Miguel Hidalgo went 2-4 with a double and two RBI, and Stephen Paladino suffered the loss on the hill in four innings of work.

Adelphi fell behind early via a two-run second inning for the Golden Falcons, keyed by Hidalgo's RBI double to right field. The Panthers answered back in a big way, however, and exploded for eight runs on eight hits in the fourth. Adelphi sent 12 batters to the plate in the inning and hit a whopping three triples in the frame. Richard Mejia hit a two-run triple to right center to plate the first runs of the inning, Richard Cambria brought home three with a bases-clearing triple with one out, and Farnum followed with another three-bagger to knock in Adelphi's seventh run.

The Panthers added some insurance in the eighth on an RBI single by Zarrella and Jamie Liebowitz's bases-loaded hit-by-pitch. Reliever John Donnelly retired the side in the ninth, helping seal the decisive victory.

Adelphi returns to Northeast-10 Conference action tomorrow afternoon when the Panthers host Pace University at 3:30 p.m.
