Baseball’s Postseason Run Ends on Friday Night of NE10 Championship

Hooksett, N.H. – After defeating No. 6 seed Pace on Friday morning, the Adelphi baseball team took No. 1 Southern New Hampshire once again, with the winner advancing to the Northeast 10 title game. 

Series History:

  • Adelphi (26-23, 20-16 NE10) is now 11-22 against Southern New Hampshire since April 2010. The last matchup was a 15-2 Penmen win on Thursday. 


Highlights:


How It Happened:

  • SNHU struck first, putting up two runs in the first inning. 
  • Adelphi had its chance to plate runs,but could not capitalize with runners on base. 
  • The Penmen offense continued to be prolific as the host team extended its lead to 8-0 by the bottom of the fifth. 
  • In the top of the sixth, the Panthers got three runs back. 
  • DeMilt started the frame off with a walk and Johnny Catusoco was hit by a pitch. 
  • Ryan drove in two with a single through the left side and Ramos scored on an error. 
  • SNHU scored two more runs to go up 10-3 and with the Adelphi bats quiet, that is where the score stood, ending the Panthers' quest for a conference title.
