Tuttle, English, Catalanotti Named ECAC Division II All-Stars

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its Division II Men's Lacrosse All-Stars on Monday, June 1. The Panthers were represented by three players as Salvatore Tuttle was a first-team selection and John English and Joseph Catalanotti earned inclusion on the second-team. Representatives from ECAC Division II Men's Lacrosse programs completed voting.

Tuttle, the 2014 and 2015 USILA Lt. Col. J.L. Turnbull Award recepient, as the best attackman in Division II, was a first-team ECAC All-Star honoree. He finished the year with a team-best 86 points on the strength of 50 goals and 36 assists. He also grabbed 54 ground balls and caused 12 turnovers. Tuttle's 4.72 points per game average ranked him third in the nation and helped him to earn USILA All-American status for the second year in a row to go along with his selection to the Northeast-10 first-team.  

A USILA Scholar All-American, English was also a USILA All-American in his first year with the Panthers. The second-team ECAC All-Star was a face-off specialist for Adelphi, winning 68.8 percent of his attempts, which ranked him third in the nation. Addionally, English grabbed up 7.39 ground balls per game, which was sixth best in the nation and earned him first-team All-Northeast-10 status.

Catalanotti, a second-team ECAC All-Star and Northeast-10 All-Conference selection, was an anchor on the defense, causing eight turnovers and grabbing 34 ground balls in 16 games played. He was part of a group that helped Adelphi to 15 wins and allowed the opposition just 8.82 goals per game, which was among the best in the Northeast-10. Catalanotti also earned All-American status in just his first year with the Panthers.
