Gilbert, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced its 2026 Division II Men's and Women's Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams, with the Adelphi University programs once again earning top academic recognition.
Both teams were named ITA All-Academic Teams for the seventh consecutive year, continuing their tradition of excellence in the classroom.
In addition to the team accolades, 16 student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athletes, representing 94 percent of both programs. The distinction requires a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) for the academic year, a testament to the players' commitment in the classroom.
To qualify as an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must achieve a team GPA of 3.2 or higher. Adelphi's tennis teams led the entire athletic department, with the men posting a 3.822 GPA and the women tallying a 3.909 GPA.
The student-athletes recognized were Andrea Albiero, Louca Bertone, Elouan Boyer, Viktor Hockl, Matias Hoyos, Spyridon Papageorgiou, Arturo Beitman and Thomas Horsley from the men's team. Genesis Beltran, Roisin Boyd, Matilda Buchen, Kayla Castellano, Katarina Liedbeck, Sara Lindeman, Oda Solevag Halvorsen and Zuzanna Witkowska were recognized from the women's team.
Both teams won the Northeast 10 Championship this past season, with the men capturing the title for the third straight year. The women made a historic run in the NCAA Tournament, reaching the Sweet Sixteen for the first time in school history. Leading the way for Adelphi tennis were Katarina Liedbeck and Louca Bertone, who were both named Northeast 10 Player of the Year and 2026 CSC Academic All-Americans.
