Philadelphia, Pa. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team continued their road trip on Tuesday afternoon when they traveled up to regional foe Jefferson.

Adelphi's No. 3 pairing of Leo Silverston and Jorge Alcalde Miragaya started the day off strong with a 6-2 victory, but the Rams went on to win the next two matches 6-4 to earn the first point of the match.

Four of the five singles matches went to a third set and, unfortunately for the Panthers, Jefferson won three of them. Silverston was Adelphi's lone victor, winning the No. 4 flight 6-4, 0-6, 6-3. Christian Cappucini, Lucas Rosvall, Pau Valled and Thomas LaCharme all battled but ultimately fell short in the final set.

The Adelphi men's tennis team will be back in action on Friday when they take part in the ITA East Regionals at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing.
