Men's Tennis Stopped By Assumption in NE10 Title Rematch

Garden City, N.Y. — Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi men's tennis team opened its home season on Saturday afternoon when Assumption came to town.

The Greyhounds earned the first team point of the day after taking the first two doubles matches.

Leo Silverstone was Adelphi's only singles victor of the afternoon, taking the No. 4 flight, 6-4, 7(7)-6(3). Arturo Beitman was leading 4-0 in his No. 6 match, but it was cut short due to lighting.

The Adelphi men's tennis team will take a hiatus until the spring season when it takes on Yeshiva on Monday, February 8.
