North Attleboro, Mass. – Announced on Monday afternoon, Adelphi University had 35 student-athletes receive the Northeast 10 Conference Presidents Award for Academic Excellence.
This class of honorees included over 270 remarkable student-athletes from the NE10's full-member institutions, as well as its associate members. For a full list of honorees by school, click here.
To be eligible for the Presidents' Award for Academic Excellence, a senior student-athlete must meet the following criteria:
- Be a graduating NE10 student-athlete.
- Attain the Latin honor of magna cum laude or better.
- Have participated in at least two seasons of NE10 competition and be a current student-athlete at the time of graduation.
The Adelphi women's soccer program saw seven graduates named to the list, as the team earned a cumulative GPA of 3.557. Peyton DeRouen paced the women's soccer seniors with a 3.983 cumulative grade-point average. She was followed by Dylann Trahey and Madison Apicella, who earned marks of 3.876 and 3.719, respectively.
Katarina Liedbeck had the highest cumulative GPA among all Adelphi honorees with a 3.985 grade-point average in computer science. Leo Carlsson Senoo (men's soccer), Valencia Beaubrun (women's track and field), Viktor Hockl (men's tennis), Thomas Horsley (men's tennis) and Rita Sefransky rounded out the Panthers who earned GPAs of 3.9 or higher.
Each award recipient received a commemorative NE10 medallion for their academic achievement.
