Louisville, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released the 2026 NFCA Division II All-Region teams on Friday afternoon, as Adelphi's Tori Parente and Jenna Plue were both selected to the East Region First Team.
The 2026 squads are comprised of 205 student-athletes from 108 different programs, with Parente and Plue joining 12 other Northeast 10 selections from the East Region.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's eight regions with first and second-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes and voted on the teams. All honorees are now eligible for selection to the 2026 NFCA Division II All-America squads.
Parente earned First Team All-Region honors at the utility/pitcher position. She currently leads the team with a .360 batting average while also making 16 appearances in the circle this season. She has compiled seven wins with a 3.53 ERA, including five complete games and one shutout. At the plate, Parente has totaled 32 hits, including two doubles, one triple, and 12 RBIs. She has also delivered two walk-off hits for the Panthers during the 2026 campaign. Defensively, Parente has made 34 starts at second base, recording 39 putouts and 53 assists while holding a .968 fielding percentage.
Plue recently recorded her 20th win of the season with a complete-game shutout against Bridgeport University on Thursday afternoon during NCAA Regionals. On the year, she has totaled 196.1 innings pitched, 23 complete games, and seven shutouts. She has also tallied 186 strikeouts while holding opposing batters to a .234 average and posting a 2.85 ERA.
Parente, Plue and the Panthers are currently in the midst of an NCAA Regional run as the No. 2 seed in the East Region after winning their opening game of the tournament.
The two Panthers will now await the release of the 2026 NFCA Division II All-America teams, which are scheduled to be announced on Wednesday, May 27.
