North Attleboro, Mass. – The Northeast 10 Conference announced on Monday its list of 21 student-athletes that have been nominated for Man and Woman of the Year in 2025-26. Both honors are selected by the conference's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Council. Included on the list for Adelphi University are senior men's lacrosse athlete Kyle Lewis and graduate student volleyball athlete Delaney Kiendra.
Each nominee is a senior student-athlete who has excelled in all areas of their collegiate careers – on the playing surface, in the classroom and in the community. The two winners are set to be announced at the NE10 Banquet on the night of Monday, June 1.
Each NE10 institution nominates student-athletes for both Man and Woman of the Year. The 2025-26 academic year marks the 14th time that the league will award the NE10 Man of the Year honor, while the NE10 Woman of the Year honor has been awarded since 2005-06 and will be put forth as the league's official NCAA Woman of the Year candidate.
Kiendra most recently served as an Adelphi Student-Athlete Advisory Committee co-president, previously working as the committee's community service executive board member. She spearheaded efforts to create the Bridges to Adelphi Unity Walk in 2025, seeing participation grow into 2026. Helping lead the charge in the volleyball team's community service efforts, the squad tallied more than 692 hours and counting of community service, averaging about 40 hours per player. On the court, Kiendra is an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention, AVCA All-Region selection, two-time all-conference selection, academic all-conference selection, nine-time NE10 Academic Honor Roll honoree and the 2025-26 Adelphi Female Panther Leadership Award winner.
Lewis has been an active member of Adelphi's chapter of Morgan's Message, supporting student-athlete mental health while also volunteering off campus with youth football and lacrosse teams. A two-time captain of the men's lacrosse team, he has helped lead the Panthers to back-to-back national championships while looking to become the first program in Division II history to win three titles in a row. Lewis was named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason National Player of the Year and was the only Division II player named to the Tewaaraton Watch List, an award given to the nation's best college lacrosse player. The 2026 NE10 Player of the Year, he is a four-time All-American, CSC Academic All-American, four-time all-conference selection and seven-time NE10 Academic Honor Roll member. Lewis will graduate this month with a degree in physical education.
