Truhlarova Wins Individual Crown in Women’s Golf Runner-Up Finish at Millersville

Millersville, Pa. – Adelphi University's women's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the Millersville Women's Invitational this past Saturday. They were led by Nikola Truhlarova, who claimed individual champion honors.

As a team, the Panthers' shot 61-over par, just three strokes behind Bloomsburg University, and tied with Kutztown University in the one-day tournament. 

Truhlarova finished her round at 8-over-par (80), winning the individual title by one stroke. Her round at Tanglewood Manor Golf Course featured two birdies, both coming on the back nine, and eight pars. Down the stretch, she birdied hole 17's par-four and finished her with a par on hole 18 en route to the victory.

The freshman has now captured three individual championships this season.

The rest of the Panther lineup also finished inside the top 20. Ivory Drusch shot 17-over to place 13th on the leaderboard, while Filippa Schulze DoeringLauren Jaskier and Jenny Kim each finished at 18-over, tying for 17th.

Head coach Bill Bresnan and the Panthers return to action in the Keystone State on Monday, April 6, when they compete in the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester. The tournament concludes on Tuesday, April 7.
