Indianapolis, Ind. – Adelphi University's men's golf program claimed the No. 1 seed in the East Region, as announced by the NCAA Selection Committee on Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers will be one of 80 teams competing in this year's NCAA Regional, with play scheduled to begin on May 7 and conclude on May 9 at the Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pa.

The Cats are joined by fellow conference members Assumption (No. 2 seed), Southern New Hampshire (No. 4 seed) and Bentley (No. 5 seed). Despite not earning an automatic bid following their runner-up finish at the Northeast 10 Championship, the Brown and Gold have won five tournaments this season, including a pair this past week.

The Panthers' lineup features reigning NE10 Player of the Year Mitchell Archer, along with former NE10 Players of the Week Francis Lanuza and Johnny Solari. Adelphi has also received strong contributions from its freshman class, including NE10 Rookies of the Week Zeus Sara and Ike Rothman, giving the team a well-rounded squad.

At a minimum, the top three teams from each region at the regional tournament will advance to the NCAA Finals, scheduled for May 18–22 at the The Creek Golf Club in Boulder City.
