North Attleboro, Mass. - Following a 2-0 week for the no. 1 Adelphi University men's lacrosse team, Kyle Lewis and Christian Tomei both received Northeast 10 Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, as announced from the league office on Monday.
Lewis was a key contributor in the week, finishing as the team's leading point man for the Panthers with 11. He scored four goals and one assist against no. 9 Pace and scored a pair and assisted on four against Franklin Pierce.
Tomei was given both wins for the Panthers between the pipes this week. He tallied 14 saves against the ranked Setters and three against the Ravens. Christian still leads all of DII lacrosse in goals-allowed average, and in save percentage.
Amid the perfect season, the Cats topped the field to earn the #1 seed and a first round bye in the upcoming NE10 tournament, slated to begin Saturday, April 25. As a result, the team will host the winner of the #4 Assumption/#5 Saint Michael's quarterfinal matchup in the NE10 Semifinals on Wednesday April 29.
