North Attleboro, Mass. - For the third time in the last five seasons, the Adelphi University men's lacrosse team are the Northeast 10 Conference Regular Season Champions.
With the undefeated mark, the Panthers earn the top-seed ahead of the NE10 tournament, which is slated to begin on Saturday, April 25. As the one-seed, Adelphi earns a first round bye and will wait for the NE10 semifinal round on Wednesday, April 29. For the full seeding and games/dates breakdown, see below.
Adelphi will take on the winner of Saint Michael's and Assumption, who drew the first round matchup. In the regular season, the Cats held the Purple Knights to a slim two goals, while Assumption managed to score six. However the no. 1 team in Division II poured in 15+ goals in each contest.
Last season, the Panthers drew the no. 2 seed, following a regular season loss to Saint Anselm. This year, the role is reversed as the Hawks dropped their only contest to Adelphi and used a come from behind win in their finale against Pace to slot in second.
Adelphi has won the last two NE10 and NCAA Championships, toppling Saint Anselm both times in the NE10 Championship final. The Panthers won, 10-9, in 2024 at home and then held off a charging Hawks team last year, 13-12, in overtime. The title game was one of the most dramatic in NE10 history, with Saint Anselm's Colin Mulvey tying the game in the final seconds before Adelphi claimed gold on a Michael Durnin OT transition winner. AU is undefeated this year and has been the No. 1 ranked team in the country since the start of the season.
The top two seeds have gone on to appear in the NE10 Championship final in each of the last six seasons.
