North Attleboro, Mass. – After yet another dominant outing, John Carver has been named the Northeast-10 Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.
In the Adelphi baseball team's 4–3 victory over No. 22 Southern New Hampshire, the Panthers' ace went seven full innings, striking out 11 Penmen while allowing only five hits and two earned runs. Carver is now 6–1 with a 3.18 earned-run average and 76 strikeouts, the most in the NE10. The right-hander is second in all of Division II in strikeouts per nine innings with 15.09.
Carver and the Panthers will be back on the field Tuesday at 3 p.m. when they take the short trip to Pace for midweek conference action.
