Orlando, Fla. — The Adelphi women's golf program started its spring season right where it left off in the fall, capturing the team championship at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The Panthers shot 52-over across two rounds of play en route to the victory, outdueling second-place Franklin Pierce University by 13 strokes (+65).

The Cats were led by second and third place individual finishes from Nikola Truhlarova and Ivory Drusch, respectively.

Truhlarova finished 9-over for the tournament, carding a 77 (+4) in round one and a 78 (+5) in round two.

Drusch shot an 8-over 81 in her opening round at Eagle Creek Golf Club, but the sophomore caught fire on day two, shooting a 2-over 75 to tie her career-best round. Her strong second round featured two birdies.

Jenny Kim and Lauren Jaskier both placed in the top five (T-5), each finishing 18-over after 36 holes. Kim posted an 84 (+11) in round one and an 80 (+7) in round two, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 ninth hole.

Jaskier recorded an 83 in her opening round, which included four birdies, before carding an 81 (+8) in round two. Like Kim, she eagled the par-5 ninth hole.

Rounding out the first-place lineup was Filippa Schulze Doering, who finished eighth overall after shooting 19-over. Schulze Doering navigated the course consistently, carding an 81 (+8) in round one and an 84 (+11) in round two.

Head coach Bill Bresnan and the Panthers return to action on Friday, March 27, when they compete against Hofstra University and Wagner College. The one-day tournament will take place at Eisenhower White in East Meadow, N.Y.
