Virginia Beach, Va. - Wrapping up his first collegiate indoor track and field season, rookie
Jabari Holder represented Adelphi University in the triple jump on Saturday.
After fouling on his first attempt, Holder put a pair of 13.91m attempts together, in his first ever NCAA championship appearance, at the Virigina Beach Sports Complex. As one of three freshman in the field, he finished 17th overall to earn USTFCCCA Honorable Mention All-American status.
The winner was a senior out of Washburn University, as Justin Forde landed 16.29m on his final attempt. The next finisher was a junior from Embry-Riddle who landed all attempts over 15.30m to place second.
The highest freshman finisher was Artem Konovalenko out of Harding, who jumped 14.87m to land inside the top-15.
The track and field program will now prepare for the outdoor season, slated to start on Friday, March 27 at the Monmouth Opener.
