Track & Field Preps for NE10s at Scarlet Knight Open

New York, N.Y. – With just two weeks until the 2026 Northeast 10 Indoor Track and Field Championship, the Adelphi University track and field program competed at the Scarlet Knight Open, hosted by Rutgers University on Friday.
 
Men's Highlights:
  • Even Weber bested his prelim time in the 60 meter dash (6.94) to earn a spot in the finals where he ran 6.92 to place fifth overall. He was also responsible for a new personal best in the 200, clocking in at 21.94 to place third in the field.
  • Samuel Gorelik picked up a pair of PRs in the 400 and 600, posting times of 54.00 and 1:25.83, respectively.
  • Maxwell Krapf ran a 2:36.04 in the 1000 race to finish third and also clocked in at 4:18.92 in the mile, which ranks among the top-five in the East Region this season. Teammate Noah Mach finished just over three seconds later to place sixth in the field for the 1000 meter event.
  • Jake Orfano used an 8:39.26 time in the men's 3000 race to placed sixth and set a new personal best in the specialty.
  • Nicholas Paul was .20 meters off his career best in the weight throw, but launched a 15.20m attempt to place third. Teammate Ryan Moritz was responsible for a distance of 14.11m to finish in sixth.
Women's Highlights:
  • Joanna Weber landed in the top-15 for her 600 performance, clocking in at 1:46.51 for a new personal best. She also competed in the 400 and 4x400 relay.
  • Eva Gonzalez led the pack in the women's 800, going the distance in 2:23.73 to place 13th. She was also part of the 4x400 relay that finished eighth.
  • Gabrielle Stafford put up a new PR in each event in which she competed – the 600, 60 hurdles and the high jump. Her best attempt at the matt saw her clear 1.55m to finish seventh overall.
 
Members of the throws squad compete on Sunday at the East Stroudsburg University Deschriver Invite while the rest of the team prepares for the NE10 Championship, slated to begin on Thursday, February 19.
