Colonia, N.J. — The Adelphi bowling season is right around the corner and on Monday, the East Coast Conference announced its women's bowling preseason poll, placing the Panthers in a tie for fifth place. 

After its upset victory over Daemen at the ECC Championship, Adelphi earned 35 points in a tie with Saint Anselm and 21 points behind fourth place selection Molloy. 

The Panthers have a majority of their 2024-25 team returning including team MVP Tiffany Wong (who was first in the conference in individual split conversion rate), Carly Wu, Giana Giampapa, Erica DeJesus and Gayle Lopez along with others. 

Head coach Arthur O'Connor has brought in freshman Marissa Funk to round out the squad. Out of Youngstown, Ohio, Funk was an all-state bowler, conference player of the year and frequently finished in the top half of state tournaments. 

The Panthers will start their season on Friday, Oct. 17 at the NJ Open hosted by FDU.
