Hackensack, N.J. — This past weekend, the Adelphi women's bowling team competed in the ECC Championship and placed fourth, which is the program's best finish under head coach Arthur O'Connor.

The tournament kicked off on Friday and saw the Panthers defeat No. 9-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas, 4–0, in baker play before taking down No. 8 D'Youville, 4–1. After a bye, the Brown and Gold defeated D'Youville for a second time to advance to Saturday, placing them among the final four teams remaining.

Adelphi battled with No. 1 Bryant and No. 2 Kutztown, but a strike from the Golden Bears in the final frame of game three of the elimination match ended Adelphi's season.

Giana Giampapa, who was named to the All-Tournament team, put together one of the best performances of her career in her final tournament. Rolling a high game of 259, the senior averaged 22.5 pins per frame in traditional play and 20.7 in baker play. She recorded a 60% strike rate, a 92.5% fill percentage, knocked down 95% of her spare attempts and converted 88% of her multi-pin spares.

Marissa Funk, Adelphi's Second Team All-ECC selection, averaged 20.1 pins per frame in baker play and 18.5 in traditional play. The freshman posted a 92.5% spare conversion rate.

Carly Wu averaged 19.09 pins per frame in traditional play and converted 84% of her spares.

Tiffany Wong was impressive across both days with a 19.05 average per frame in traditional play and an 18.32 average in baker play.
