Garden City, N.Y. - Spirit Weekend is Adelphi's annual celebration of all things Panthers—from student life to alumni, family, and friends. It's a chance to reconnect, celebrate traditions, and make new memories, all starting on Wednesday, October 1 and running through October 5.
The theme this year: celebrating together—with events for all ages, interests, and ties to the Adelphi community
October 1 features the Spirit Weekend Kickoff event - taking place on campus at noon, the entire campus is invited to attend. The afternoon will feature desserts, giveaways, photo opportunities, a vendor fair and more.
Three former athletes in
Gordon Purdie, Jr. '16, Mary Camarano '17, and Sean Kildare '19 were all announced as 10 Under 10 recipients - for exceptional career and professional accomplishments—before even celebrating their 10-year Adelphi reunion. The 10 Under 10 Celebration is set to take place on Friday, Oct. 3 (invite only).

- 10:00 AM Adelphi Baseball Alumni Event - William J. Bonomo Field (open to baseball alumni and guests)
- 11:00 AM Adelphi Softball Alumni Event - Ficke Field (open to softball alumni and guests)
- 12:00 PM Adelphi Field Hockey vs. Saint Anselm - Motamed Field (open to all)
- 1:00 PM Adelphi Swimming & Diving Alumni Meet - Arvilla Nolan Pool, Woodruff Hall (open to swimming alumni and guests)
A family with ties to Athletics will be honored with the
Legacy Family Spirit Award at the Alumni Spirit Brunch on Saturday morrning - The Eickelberg Family spans nearly 70 years and three generations of attending Adelphi.
Closing out the weekend, our community members, families, friends and alumni are encouraged to participate in the Panthers for a Cause 5K on campus - this year's funds will benefit the athletics department.
