Kutztown, Pa. – The Adelphi University women's golf team put together another strong performance to start the season, finishing in second place at the Millersville Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday.

As a team, the Panthers finished 67 shots over par, with four golfers placing inside the top-20 on the leaderboard.

Leading the way was Filippa Schulze Doering, who shot a combined 14-over for the tournament, good enough for a sixth-place finish overall. After carding an 8-over in the opening round, she followed with a steady 6-over in round two, and sprinkled in three birdies across the two rounds.

Close behind, freshman Nikola Truhlarova finished 12th overall at 16-over. After shooting 12-over in her first round at Berkleigh Golf Club, Truhlarova found her rhythm in round two, posting a 4-over that included two birdies.

Just a few spots back, sophomore Ivory Drusch placed 15th, showing consistency with back-to-back 9-over rounds. Her second day was highlighted by a birdie on the par-4 14th hole.

Adaline Ochoa rounded out Adelphi's top-20 finishers in 18th place at 19-over. Ochoa's second round featured some fireworks, including an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole, along with two additional birdies.

Jenny Kim closed at 28-over, just outside the top 30. She trimmed two strokes off her scorecard in the second round to cap her tournament.

The Panthers, led by head coach Bill Bresnan, return to action Friday, Sept. 19, at the Golf Club at Middle Bay in a one-day event hosted by Hofstra University.
