Mansfield, Mass. - Adding to the department's overall major award winners, first year Lori Melvile from Adelphi women's track and field was named the Northeast 10 Field Co-Rookie of the Year on Tuesday. 

Melville was the only freshman to make the finals (on the men's and women's side), ending with top-10 finishes at the NE10 Outdoor Championship in both the shot put and the discus. 

She shared the title with New Haven's Miana Quinonez.
