Mansfield, Mass. — The Adelphi men's tennis team has been on a hot streak, winning four of its last five matches including two important Northeast-10 conference victories. A key part to the 'Cats success of late has been freshman Spyridon Papageorgiou and on Tuesday he was recognized by the league office as the NE10 Rookie of the Week. 

The Thessaloniki, Greece native was 2-0 this past week, picking up a 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 win in the no. four match against Jefferson and a 6-1, 7-5 win over Southern New Hampshire as the no. 5. On the year, he holds a record of 7-2 and is undefeated when slotted in as Adelphi's no. four. 

Papageorgiou and the Panthers will return to the court on Thursday at 1:00 PM when they play host to Franklin Pierce.
