Mansfield, Mass. — After clinching the number one overall seed in the Northeast-10 Championship courtesy of victories over Bentley and Assumption this weekend, conference accolades continue to roll in for two Panthers. 

For the second week in a row, Marko Jovanovic was named the NE10 Player of the Week while Spyridon Papageorgiou received Rookie of the Week honors. 

The pair went two in doubles play, defeating the Falcons and Greyhounds each with a 6-1 victory. 

Jovanovic, who is riding a ten-match win streak into the playoffs, was dominant once again as the Adelphi no. 1, winning his match at Assumption 6-1, 6-1 and his match at Bentley 6-0, 6-4. 

Papageorgiou, earning his third rookie of the week award this season, continued to see success as the Panther no. 4, winning both matches by scores of 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-3. 

Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Panthers are looking to win back-to-back conference titles. Their journey begins on Saturday at 11:00 AM when they take on Assumption at the USTA Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.
