Windsor, Conn. - On the backs of
Filippa Schulze Doering winning her second individual championship of the season, and first this spring, the Adelphi University women's golf team took home a runner-up finish at the Hartford Hawks Spring Invitational this past weekend.
The tournament was hosted at Keney Park Golf Course, with the Panthers finishing only four strokes behind champion Laval University, tallying a 61-over 621.
Schulze Doering used consistency en route to her individual title, charting two rounds of two-over 72 golf. Seven birdies across 36 holes were the key component of her performance, including one on her final shot.
Newcomer
Ivory Drusch came in with a solid showing of her own, sliding in at fourth. The Minnesota native compiled a 14-over 154 between both days.
Jenny Kim also notched a top ten finish, with her eight-over 78 on Day 1 keeping her afloat to grab ninth place.
Lauren Jaskier played a similar game, hitting a nine-over on Saturday to finish 15th.
Cat Slade rounded out the Panther scorecard, accumulating a 168, respectively.
