Lewisburg, PA - Despite placing fifth in his section,
David Williams finished sixth overall in the men's 110 hurdles event to highlight the Adelphi track and field team's participation at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University.
Men's Highlights:
- Without it being his fastest time this season, Williams' 14.70 ranks third in the NE10 behind himself and ahead of teammate Bryan Combary. He placed ahead of some Division I competition and is still .22 from an NCAA provisional mark.
Women's Highlights:
- The women's 4x100, ran by Sanai Springer, Amari Johnson, Marissa Haye and Shareve Blair was 14th overall but in a time of 49.35 which ranks fifth among East Region competition thus far.
- Maya Suarez ran a new personal best in the women's 3000, clocking in at 11:10.67 to place 25th in the field, an improvement from last year's finish of 47th in 11:56.31.
- Lucia Kutner dropped 29 seconds off her 2024 5000 NE10 Championship time, running 19:10.56 in her first outdoor 5K of the season.
Members of the team will compete at the Morgan State Legacy Meet, starting Friday, Apr. 18.
