Ewing, NJ - Matthew Wenz was responsible for a second place showing in his first full decathlon of the outdoor season, highlighting a below-normal temperature weekend at the TCNJ Invitational and Multi event. 

Men's Highlights: 

• Wenz placed second overall with the help of first place finishes in the shotput and discus with top-three placements in the long jump, high jump, 110 hurdles and javelin. 
• Teammate Aidan Hanratty finished his first collegiate decathlon and earned a spot in the top-10, placing sixth. With personal best marks in all events but three, he finished fifth in the 400 for his best event of the two-day meet. 
• Ryan Moritz launched a 38.68m attempt in the discus that saw him finish eighth overall with a new personal best mark. 

Women's Highlights:

• Kayla Esposito clocked in at 27.91 in the 200 to place eighth in a 30-competitor field - her time stood .59 off her personal best which she put up at the outdoor season opener. She also landed a top-10 spot in the long jump, with a 4.85 mark.
• Rookie Madeline Staley was one of 31 throwers in the women's discus event - she placed fourth with a throw of 36.38m, leading teammate Lori Meville who slotted in at 11th with her attempt of 31.95m. 
• Gabrielle Stafford finished middle of the pack in the women's heptathlaon, posting personal best marks with her overall score, long jump and javelin throw. She topped the field in the javeline (31.24m) and the shotput (10.30m). 

Members of the team will compete at the Morgan State Legacy Meet, starting Friday, Apr. 18.
