Mahwah, NJ - As the calendar turned to the outdoor track and field season, a small group opened their campaign at the Ramapo Track and Field Invitational, competing in the 10K race. 

Of the four, Maya Suarez led the way with an eighth place showing with a time of 43:38.42. Right on her heels was teammate Karen Jackson, who crossed the finish line just 0.12 seconds later. This was Jackson's first collegiate 10K and she placed ninth overall. 

Madeline Gerby landed in the top-10 in 44:54.96, which sits 24 seconds from her personal best, which took place at last year's Northeast-10 Conference championship, when she also finished 10th. 

Maggie Hannan was the final Panther to cut the tape at Ramapo, running sub-47 minutes and just 10 seconds shy of her time from a year ago at the same meet. 

Adelphi track and field is split between University of Delaware and Princeton for the Sam Howell Distance Carnival starting on Friday, Apr. 4.
