Orlando, Fla. - In their first tournament in the spring campaign, the Adelphi University women's golf team finished in first place out of three teams at the Saint Anselm Florida Invitational earlier this week.
The Panthers finished ahead of Union College (NY) and host Saint Anselm College after play wrapped at Eagle Creek Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon. The Brown and Gold tallied a collective 63-over 647 across the two rounds of action.
While unable to claim the individual championship, Adelphi snagged the two, three, and four spots on the overall leaderboard. Sophomores
Jenny Kim and
Filippa Schulze Doering shot a 157 and 159 to claim the second and third spots. Just behind them was newcomer
Ivory Drusch, leveraging her three-over 76 in Round 1 to secure a fourth place finish.
Cat Slade also managed to get inside the top ten at seventh following a a consistent two rounds of play at 11-over and 12-over.
Lauren Jaskier rounded out the Panther scorecard with a 178 and 186, respectively.

Bill Bresnan and Adelphi will be back in action for the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational hosted by West Chester University of Pennsylvania. Action from West Chester, Pa. will begin on Monday, April 7 and conclude on Tuesday, April 8.
