Greenwood, Ind. — The College Sports Communicators revealed its 2024-25 Men's and Women's Basketball Academic All-District teams on Tuesday afternoon and a trio of Panthers received the honor.
Kaitlyn O'Connell, Lauren Beberman and Patrick Burke represented their respective teams.
O'Connell, who broke both the Adelphi single-game and single-season three-point records in her senior season, earned a 3.695 grade-point average while pursuing a degree in exercise science. The Essex, Mass. native was the team's leading scorer, averaging 12.3 points per game and is now a finalist to become an academic all-American.
Beberman is a 3.88 GPA nursing student and was an important piece for Adelphi in her sophomore season, starting 10 games and leading the team in blocks with 34.
Burke, who obtained a 3.671 grade-point average in sport management, was a crucial part of the men's basketball team's historic 2024-25 season. In his first collegiate season he appeared in 30 games, averaging 6.1 points per game and 3.8 rebounds per game while coming off of the bench.
The 2024-25 CSC Academic All-American teams will be announced on April 15 and April 16.
