Mansfield, Mass. — The Adelphi University athletics department continues its mission to defend the Northeast-10 President's Cup.
After sitting atop the standings through the fall season, the Panthers (105 points) now slot into second place, narrowly behind Bentley (106 points). The two schools have increased their lead on the field as Southern New Hampshire is currently in third with 89 points.
The Brown and Gold moved from sixth to first in the men's cup standings, earning 22 points of 26 possible points. Adelphi (43 points) gained 11 points from the regular season champion men's basketball team, six points from the undefeated men's swimming and diving team and five from the men's indoor track and field team.
In the women's cup, the 'Cats sit in second place with 62 points, gaining a nine point lead over third place New Haven and sitting just three points behind first place Bentley. The women's basketball team earned six points, women's indoor track and field earned five points and the women's swimming and diving team earned three points.
