New York, N.Y. - In its last weekend before the 2025 Northeast-10 Championship, Adelphi University track and field found itself split between two states, with one group heading to the Armory for the NYU D3 Invite.
Women's Highlights:
- Shareve Blair and Valencia Beaubrun both made the finals for the 60m dash and placed fifth and ninth, respectively.
- Fiona Maloney saw a 59.45 finish in the 400 meter race, placing ninth in the field. Her time falls .88 short of her season best which ranks sixth overall in the NE10.
- Amari Johnson won the 60 hurdles with a finals time of 8.81 - also an NCAA qualifying mark. That time ranks third among league competition and is second to her personal best time this year of 8.72.
- Beaubrun also leaped 5.59m in the long jump, good enough for second overall at the meet.
Men's Highlights:
- Ilan Krasovitsky put up two huge PRs on the track and in the jumps pit. His 7.57 in the 60 meter dash was a new personal best and his 13.78m triple jump attempt moves him into sixth overall in the NE10. That distance is the second farthest by a rookie this season.
- David Williams and Bryan Combary delivered a one-two punch in the men's 60 hurdles prelims and finals - posting times of 8.17 and 8.27, respectfully. Williams' time in the final is an NCAA D2 qualifying mark.
- Jake Orfano set a new indoor best in the mile with a time of 4:23.91 to place eighth overall at the meet.
Adelphi takes on the NE10 Indoor championship at the Track at New Balance in Boston, Mass. starting on Saturday, Feb. 22.
