Garden City, N.Y. – The Adelphi University men's golf program is currently ranked first in the East Region and 66th nationally, according to the 2025-26 Division II Scoreboard rankings.
The Panthers sit atop the East Region, with the next closest team being Wilmington University (Del.), ranked 97th nationally, followed by conference foes Southern New Hampshire University (#117) and Assumption University (#121).
The rankings are determined by a team's average weighted points, calculated by the National Collegiate Golf Ranking System. Adelphi's average of 23.51 weighted points earned them the top spot in the East Region, nearly five points ahead of Wilmington (18.73). Read about how the ranking methodology works here.
This fall, the Panthers competed in five events, finishing as the champions or runners-up in all but one.
After opening the season with a second-place finish at the Farmingdale Fall Invitational, the team secured its first trophy of the year by winning the Granite State Opener.
In the second week of October, the men earned another runner-up finish, placing just four strokes behind Southern New Hampshire at the NE10 Championship.
One week later, the squad closed out its fall slate in dominant fashion, winning the Adelphi Panther Invitational with three golfers placing inside the top five.
The lineup—featuring returning golfers Mitchell Archer, Francis Lanuza and Johnny Solari, along with head coach David Mattana's freshman class of Ahaan Dhir, Ike Rothman and Zeus Sara—saw contributions from every member throughout the semester.
The Panthers have proved to be one of the premier programs in the East Region as they look ahead to the spring season and the NCAA Regionals, set to begin on Thursday, May 7.
