Boston, Mass. - It was a time for the mid-distance harriers to show off for Adelphi University women's track and field, as the group competed at the 2025 River Hawk Invitational on Saturday.

Highlighting the track and moving up in the rankings among Northeast-10 Competition were several individuals.

In the 800, Sumaira Mayan raced to a 2:23.25 and was closely followed by teammate Lucia Kutner (2:32.15) to place 32nd and 49th respectively; however those times stand as the second and eighth best times among conference competitors after the weekend of action. Additionally, Kutner's mile time of 5:21.73 is fourth-best in the league. Maya Suarez and Caleigh Hopkins appear in the top-20 in the conference for their performances as well.

Maggie Hannan led the way in the 5000 for the Panthers, using a 20:47.96 times to place 32nd, but now leads Maddie Gerby and Karen Jackson as the fourth, fifth, and seventh best times in the NE10, respectively.

Clocking in at 8.99 in the 60 hurdles, Amari Johnson looks to return to the podium as her time currently stands as the third best among the conference.

Adelphi is back in action on Friday, January 31 when the team takes on the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.
