1/25/2025 9:00:00 AM

Boston, Mass. - In what will serve as a Northeast-10 Conference preview, the Adelphi University men's track and field program took on the River Hawk Invitational on Friday, at the Track at New Balance.

Several different members of the men's team put up times/marks that see them appear in the top-15 for several events.

On the short sprints side, Paul Garraway-Paul placed 13th overall in the 200 meter dash open in a time of 22.33, which poses as the eighth best time this season in the NE10. Bryce Ridley also competed in the 200, but his 400 time of 51.62 was good enough for him to move into 13th best in the league thus far, as he placed eighth in the field at the event hosted by UMass Lowell.

David Williams impressed in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.19 - just .04 off his personal best - taking third in the finals as teammate Bryan Combary took eighth in 8.38. The former move to third best in the NE10, while the latter still holds the six spot with his time of 8.31 from a week ago.

For distance, Jack Coyne used a new personal best of 4:21.56 in the mile to place 28th but stand as the third best in the conference after this weekend.

In the pole vault, Nicholas Maltese landed a 3.53m attempt to sit inside the top-10 as Ilan Krasovitsky takes the fifth best leap in the triple jump at 13.53m, which placed him ninth at the event.

Another new PR on the day, this time for Nicholas Paul in the weight throw saw a 14.34m launch which is ninth overall amongst conference competition.

Adelphi is back in action on Friday, January 31 when the team takes on the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.
