Swimming & Diving Secures CSCAA Spring Scholar All-America Nods

Plymouth Meeting, Pa. - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) proudly announces the selection of 722 teams from 417 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2024 semester. These teams, representing a total of 17,162 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester and included both the Adelphi University men's and women's programs.

To qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Spring 2024 semester. Doubling up from the fall, both programs were once again represented on the list, following a successful athletic season. The women boasted a  3.377 in the spring as the men were at 3.196 cumulative for the second half of the school year. 

In addition to history in the lanes, academic accomplishments for Cooper Rivers were first of its kind, as he became the program's first NE10 Sport Excellence Award winner and a College Sports Communicators Third Team Academic All-American.

Also earning recognition by the league office, Delaney Noel, Emily Munayirji and Connor Singer were given Academic All-Conference honors.

The 'Cats claimed a program best third-place finish at the NE10 Championship, scoring 590.5 points.  As a team, the Adelphi men's team collected medals in four relays, with Rivers swimming in three of them.
