Mansfield, Mass. - For the first time in her storied career,
Katherine Marsh has been named the 2024 Northeast-10 Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, announced on Tuesday by the league office.
All-time she is just the second student to ever win this honor out of Adelphi as Gabrielle Buissereth was the first in 2019. She did however, earn Track Rookie of the Year at the conclusion of her freshman season in 2021 and has twice won the honor on the indoor stage.
K. Marsh has the 10th best time in the 800 in the NE10 Outdoor record books and the fifth best time in the women's 1500, which she won at this year's Championship event. The graduate student won the 800 in 2021, 2022 and 2024, while Isabel locked up the 2023 victory.
This weekend, Katherine and her twin sister Isabel will complete a sweep of NCAA Championships this school year, attending the cross country and indoor track and field events with the Outdoor Championship taking place in Emporia, Kansas.
