Garden City, N.Y. - With the announcement of the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse selections on Sunday evening, the Adelphi University women's program is headed back to the tournament for the 18th time in program history, this year as the two-seed.
Having hoisted the National Championship trophy nine times since its inception in 2002, the Panthers return to the big dance coming off a loss in the Northeast-10 Conference title game on Saturday. In its first round matchup on Thursday, May 16, the Cats will take on familiar NE10 foe New Haven who drew the four-seed.
All of the East Region will take place on the campus of Pace University, who earned the top-seed by way of its 20-0 record thus far. The Setters, coming off their first NE10 Championship crown will take on no. 4 Bentley in the opening round.
