Schulze Doering Ties For First; Women's Golf Takes Home Second in Battle at Bull's Bridge

South Kent, Conn. - To finish its fall season, the Adelphi University women's golf team was named runner-up in the Battle at Bull's Bridge, hosted at Bull's Bridge Golf Club by University of Hartford.

While there was no tiebreaker due to darkness, Filippa Schulze Doering was tied at the top of the leaderboard with three Merrimack golfers after they all shot a six-over 78. It is Schulze Doering's second first-place finish this Fall after winning the Hawk Invitational Individual Championship. 

Division I Merrimack College was named champions after finishing with a team score of 28-over 316, 28 strokes ahead of the runner-up Panthers. Fellow NE10 members Assumption University and Bentley were sandwiched in between host University of Hartford, with sixth place going to Division III Gordon College. 

Jenny Kim slotted in at seventh, tallying an 11-over 81, only one stroke behind sixth. Her highlight of the day came with two birdies on Holes 6 and 17. 

Freshman Ivory Drusch would also net a birdie on Hole 17, finishing 11th after a total score of 17-over 87. Lauren Jaskier would fall shortly behind at 14th, accumulating a score of 22-over 92. 

Adaline Ochoa rounded out the Panther scorecard with an 18-over 90, but her score did not count towards the overall team score.
