Men's Swimming Tops College of Staten Island, 159-75

Staten Island, N.Y. - Adelphi men's swimming and diving rolled into it's second straight win following a 159-75 decision against the College of Staten Island on Friday.

Meet Notes:
  • Adelphi had the four top high point scorers in Connor Singer, Ryan Kakimseit, Valerii Pidhoretskyy and Cooper Rivers.
  • Freshman Tyler Thompson won both the 1000 and 500 distance events.
  • Pidhoretskyy and Tristan Weingarten have the top two times in the NE10 for the 100 freestyle, with the former taking the top spot after the CSI meet with a time of 46.97 - the latter holds the top time in the conference in the 200 free with a time of 1:45.57.
  • Kakimseit holds the top time in the 50 back following a 23.45 performance, and the 100 back (50.74) which is a second off the Adelphi record that he set at 2024 NE10 Championship.
  • Singer has the best 100 breaststroke time and Jake Chee-A-Tow in the 100 butterfly in the league.
  • Adelphi men won 11 events over the Dolphins.
  • Reigning NE10 Diver of the Week Tyler Romero won the one-meter event (235.27) and as a result has the best score in the specialty in the league so far this season.
  • The 200 medley relay clocked in at 1:33.31 - five seconds faster than the next best at the meet - which stands three seconds from the AU record (1:30.85).
The team is back in action on Friday, November 1 when they take on SUNY New Paltz starting at 4:00 p.m.
